Simple Past Tense
Simple past tense is one of the tenses that discusses about past, such as one hour ago, last year, and yesterday. It can discuss our past holidays and activities that we do. Here is the formula of past tense :
Formula:
(+) : Subject + Verb 2 + Object.
Example:
I did my homework yesterday.
He cleaned the desk a year ago.
(−) : Subject + did not + Verb 1 + Object
Example:
I didn't eat my lunch an hour ago.
I didn't get a good score on my previous test.
(?) : Did + Subject + Verb 1 + Object
Example:
Did I get a good mark on the previous test?
Did you go to Bali last week?
